Johnny Carlquist
Johnny holds a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Pedro Sauer. He and James Gardner own and operate Unified Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Salt Lake City, where every class is taught by a black belt, and there are many at the academy. Johnny is also one of the Gym Jones OGs, where he and James began training with Mark in 2004 (we cover some of that ground in Episode 56 of the NonProphet podcast). Johnny and James Gardner spent 18 months training four days per week with Mark to earn their education and the ability to train others in the same context. They took over some of the classes when Mark left Utah to do the "300" movie job. Johnny excels as an instructor in both BJJ and fitness.
