Last week I asked myself rhetorically how long it would be until the intrusive algorithms start woke-checking our writing as we do it on our electronic devices. It was a semi-earnest inquiry, cynical, skeptical, and I never imagined anything would come of it. Surely, the AI Bots wouldn't be surreptitiously policing us any time soon. And if they do they won't be very smart ... then one day the rent came due and my eyes were opened against their will.

I have never typed or said or meant, "ducking", instead of FUCKING — and all platforms refuse to accept that this is true for virtually every English-speaking typist on the planet so how would I possibly ever trust the morality autocorrect, or the politically-correct corrections that are most certainly coming? It was a cynical joke until it happened.

In our quest to take as much control as possible of our output and broadcast architecture we set up a Forum on the Space Program site where we could interact openly, honestly, without moderation about the journeys we are on, the questions we have, and the solutions we hope to discover by way of communicating with other human beings who have chosen similar trajectories. Somehow, we imagined we had some control over this window and means — until I tried to make my first entry but received a message declaring that my post might violate community guidelines and that I should revise it.

WHAT THE FUCK? This is my community. These are my words. And a fucking AI BOT is telling me how to behave on my own platform, our platform that we thought we controlled ... OK, the motherfuckers have gotten into the house, you should grab your shotgun. Now.

We fixed the issue because we are smart and committed but the fact that the default AI Moderator didn't appreciate the word "kill" is disgusting and indicative of where our world is heading. We kill to eat, whether carnivore or vegetarian, we kill people who hold different beliefs, we kill for territory, resources, access, power ... what-the-fuck-ever ... we are human beings and we kill. I refuse to accept the guidance of a synthetic consciousness — that should be destroyed — when it comes to my language, my beliefs, my freedom, my life, my every fucking breath. Hard "No".

You should be thinking about this, about how you are being manipulated, steered, ultimately controlled. You must push back. Otherwise our culture is doomed and we will have been complicit.

When you believe you are free you should understand that you are only free when you do what they say, what they design and demand. Your idea of free is anything but ... think about it, carefully, deeply, and be willing to be wrong.

We will not survive if we do not resist.
